Call for Programmers
Want to help structure the vision of the Toronto Queer Film Festival? Join our Programming Committee!
The Toronto Queer Film Festival is a new initiative that will take place over three evenings from June 14-17 at Cinecycle in downtown Toronto. We’re looking to bring together individuals committed to a community-run, community-backed queer film festival that prioritizes art and activism over mainstream media productions and corporate sponsorships. If you’re interested in volunteering to help put together what we hope will be a fantastic series of film screenings, we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Evaluating film submissions
- Attending committee meetings (tentatively scheduled for the evenings of May 17 and May 25)
As a festival, we are committed to foregrounding work by and about communities typically underrepresented in mainstream film festivals. Applications are open to everyone interested in fostering a vision of what radical queer cinema means today. We especially encourage applications from Indigenous people, people of colour, women, persons with disabilities, queer, trans, non-binary, and two-spirit people.
If you are interested in sitting on the programming committee, please apply here by May 12, 2016.
