TQFF invites applications from the QTBIPOC community for a new workshop series to create QTBIPOC Sexy Videos. However you define that!

We hope that these videos will create more decolonized images of sexuality by QTBIPOC about QTBIPOC. This workshop series is lead by Indigenous filmmakers Fallon Simard, Thirza Cuthand, with a guest workshop by Dayna Danger. These workshops will take you through scriptwriting and directing sexual/erotic/sensual/kinky content, sound recording and video production, and post production. Workshops take place over four Saturdays this spring (May/June)!

We will be using microcinema techniques which includes phones/tablets/diy materials. You will also get access to software to edit your videos outside of class time. In order to comply with social distancing, these workshops will be held on Zoom and you will have access to Adobe Premiere licenses to edit. Any other tech access needs we will try to accomodate. We hope to screen these completed works in our 2020 festival.

To apply send us a biography of your artistic/community practice, a brief description of the short video you would like to create, and any access to equipment or technology you have (lack of access will not affect your application).

Applications can be sent to: qtbipocworkshop@torontoqueerfilmfest.com.
The deadline to submit is is May 5th, 2020.

We are partnered with Trinity Square Video with support from the Ontario Arts Board.
