Unheard: Defend Masafer Yatta Part 1
Sunmok Kwon
Unprecedented(unheard of) ethnic cleansing is taking place in Masafer Yatta. However, the international community is paying little attention(unheard) to this story. In April, OpenBook and BDS Korea visited the scene to capture the ongoing occupation, violence, and ethnic cleansing.
Sunmok Kwon is an independent documentor based in Seoul, Korea. He has been documenting people’s story around the world. He also has an interest in social justice. In 2019, he documented the 2019 Hong Kong protest and published a photo book. In 2023, he traveled to Palestine, specifically Masafer Yatta to document stories of people there.
