Bring your inner queer villains/rebels/badasses to life in drag king and multidisciplinary artist Lallafral’s character development workshop!
Perfect for drag, burlesque, and performance artists, actors and filmmakers, or even for your next Halloween costume, Lallafral will help you find the cunning, defiant, and evil within through visual and embodied exercises. First, Lallafral will help participants develop their characters and the worlds they belong to through drawing concept art and collaborative brainstorming. Then, they’ll lead participants through embodied exercises like solo or group walks set to music of their choosing, partnered mirror work, and playful swaps of hero and villain characters.
Participants will walk away with original concept art, notes for an act or upcoming project, and a new understanding of how their own physicality can bring characters to life.
