He Taonga Te Wareware(A Treasure to Forget) is a short film set to Till by The Hi-Marks, exploring a Māori understanding of dementia through the relationship between a son and his ageing mother. Guided by the annual return of Matariki, the film embraces He Taonga Te Wareware—the wisdom that forgetting and remembering are both sacred acts. As memories ebb and return, so too does the reciprocal nature of care, revealing love, whakapapa, and time as cyclical rather than linear.
